Sometimes the wire between the brackets can shift and an annoying wire end is the result. This can be extremely uncomfortable, however, usually this problem resolves itself after a couple of days. If you have some infected wounds, chamomile tea or Kamistad Gel (nonprescription) will help with that. If nothing else helps, you can cut the wire end with nail scissors or the like.
