Will my statutory health insurance pay for an orthodontic treatment?

Your health insurance pays an orthodontic primary care for children and teenagers until they are 18 years old and for adults only if there is a severe jaw abnormality present (a jaw development which is not normal like a deformation, a wrong jaw positioning etc.) and if an additional orthodontic treatment is necessary.

Not covered by insurance are slight jaw abnormalities, additional services like lingual technique and other. In your first session you will receive a diagnosis and detailed information on the payment of the orthodontic treatment.

Just because your health insurance will not cover the treatment does not mean that a treatment is not necessary!
